Go Bag A Shopping Centre!!

East Kilbride Shopping Centre is up for sale with a £175million price tag.

Recently rebranded EK East Kilbride, the largest undercover shopping centre in Scotland has been put on the market by its owner Delancey.

The move comes as the centre undergoes a major refurbishment with plans to create a leisure hub at the Olympia with new restaurants and a gym operating alongside the existing cinema. South Lanarkshire Council last year unveiled plans for a £1.5m investment in the ice rink, with work expected to be completed late next year.

Delancey bought East Kilbride Shopping Centre, together with other assets in the UK, in December 2010, in partnership with RBS, as part of its acquisition of the Blade portfolio from previous owners Propinvest.

The sale is part of a wider disposal of the remainder of that portfolio, with the Mander Centre in Wolverhampton also on the market at £50m.
