Mullucks Wells celebrates arrival of the Tour de France

Leading estate agent Mullucks Wells has created specially tailored ‘for sale’ boards for properties which are on the market on the precise route of the Tour de France in Essex and Cambridgeshire, to celebrate the event.

Six properties in Essex stand alongside the exact route that the 198 cyclists will take in Stage 3 of one of the most famous free sporting events in the world. The homes with a road side view of the action also have the advantage of a prime spot as the publicity caravan rolls through, generating the carnival atmosphere famed the world over. More than 3 billion people are expected to tune in when it is televised across 150 countries.

The Essex part of the route, with its undulating countryside and long straight stretches, is considered an exciting element of the race for cycling enthusiasts who are predicting some great sprint times.

Mullucks Wells Director, David Emberson said, “Getting a close view of the event is going to be a challenge in many towns and villages on the route where thousands of spectators are expected to visit. Owning a home with such a great spectator position must be fabulous.”

On Monday 7 July the race starts in Cambridge passing through Saffron Walden and villages towards Chelmsford including Great Sampford, Finchingfield, Wethersfield and Shalford. After Rayne it heads to Felsted, Chelmsford and Epping.

Huge screens will broadcast the event as it unfolds in Saffron Walden, Finchingfield, Rayne, Felsted and Chelmsford.
