Homes sell at Clive Emson March auction

AUCTION NEWS: A substantial four-bedroom house near Langport triggered strong bidding when it went under the hammer on 20th March.

Orchard Rise fetched £461,000 when the gavel fell at the auction, significantly above its freehold guide price of £380,000 plus.

The detached house in North Street, Drayton, was among 145 lots listed in the latest auction held by one of the top five property auctioneers in the UK, Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.

Senior Auction Appraiser Audrey Smith said: “Orchard Rise sits on a superb plot with large mature gardens in a sought-after village.

“Bidders saw past some internal water damage and recognised the potential for this property, whether for owner-occupation, letting or refurbishment and resale.

“The new owner may also wish to extend the property, subject to all of the necessary consents.”

Orchard Rise was auctioned in arrangement with English Homes of Langport.

In Williton, a detached bungalow with water damage sold at a freehold price of £176,000 plus.
