Council selling off plots of land with Clive Emson Auctioneers

Seven plots of land across Cornwall are set to go under the auctioneer’s gavel later this month. (wed 20 sept)

They are among 178 lots in the latest auction being held by one of the top five property auctioneers in the UK, Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.

Cornwall Council has instructed the auctioneer to offer the land at the firm’s auction which ends on Wednesday 20 September.

All seven are listed with a nil reserve price.

Regional Director & Auctioneer David Henwood said: “Land sales tend to do very well at Clive Emson auctions and we have already received strong interest in these unusual lots”.

They are:

l Lot 13: Land Adj 4 Belhay, Penryn – land and verge bordering a residential estate in a village setting, extending to approximately 0.04 hectares (0.10 acres).

l Lot 39: Land & Track at Moss Side, Callington – an unmade track and small area of land bordering Moss Side Industrial Park and situated close to a new development of residential units, extending to approximately 0.06 hectares (0.15 acres).

l Lot 44:  Land Church Street, St. Blazey, Par – a small area of verge land located within the town and close to local amenities, extending to approximately 0.006 hectares (0.01 acres).

l Lot 59:  Land Treleigh Industrial Estate, Redruth – a broadly rectangular freehold site bordering Treleigh Industrial Estate and currently occupied by mature trees, extending to approximately 0.07 hectares (0.17 acres). Any alteration of the site would be subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.

l Lot 75: Land Rear of 24 The Meadow, St. Ives – freehold site located next to Tate St. Ives, extending to approximately 0.01 hectares (0.03 acres). Any future use of the site would be subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.

l Lot 85: Land Adj. 43 Eastbourne Road, St. Austell - overgrown parcel of amenity land, extending to approximately 0.004 hectares (0.01 acres). Any alternative future use would be subject to all necessary consent being obtainable.

Town hotel goes up for auction

A former hotel with a converted granary building and car park near St Austell is coming up for auction later this month. (wed 20 sept)

Boscawen Hotel & Granary in Fore Street, St. Dennis, is among 178 lots in the latest auction being held by one of the top five property auctioneers in the UK, Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.

Sitting on a site extending to approximately 0.13 hectares (0.33 acres), it is listed with a freehold guide price of £350,000-plus at the firm’s auction which ends on Wednesday 20 September.

Regional Director & Auctioneer David Henwood said: “This is a rare opportunity to acquire a multi-faceted freehold site situated within the village of St Dennis.
