Savills auction attracts a LOT of investors

Savills Nottinghamshire February sale saw strong interest for both commercial and residential investment properties with some £1.5million raised to date in all sales pre, post and in auction.

Bob Crocker, auction manager and director at Savills Nottingham said: "The keen interest witnessed at this month's auction may be a reflection of the potential changes to stamp duty being considered by the Government for investment properties, with the confirmation of changes due to be made within the Chancellor's budget statement in March.

"It is taking these proposed changes into consideration that we have brought our next sale forward to beat the deadline.

"A number of lots have already been announced for the sale which again will include a range of investment opportunities located to the north of the county.

"It will also include the opportunity to acquire small parcels of land located throughout the UK, to be offered for sale on behalf of the Highways Agency."

The next auction will take place on Wednesday, March 23, at Nottingham Racecourse.
