Nottingham auction starts with a bang!

Graham Penny Auctions, the most successful auction house in Nottingham, has held its first auction of the year in front of a packed room of buyers and the Homes under the Hammer TV crew.

The auction, on Friday 6th February at Nottingham Racecourse, featured a catalogue of 38 residential property, commercial property, land and other lots from across Nottinghamshire and the rest of the country which raised over £1.9m for Graham Penny Auctions’ clients.

Vejay Pal, senior valuer at Graham Penny Auctions, commented: “Last week’s auction was a great start to the year for us. Our catalogue had a great mix of residential and commercial property along with several excellent plots of land which clearly attracted the buyers to the auction room.

“A number of lots had several bidders interested in buying which raised the sale prices and helped us start our 2015 auction calendar in style.”

Amongst the lots selling well in the auction room were:

  •     19 Burnside Drive in Bramcote – a three bedroomed semi-detached property requiring modernisation and improvement which sold for £186,000.
  •     11 Fircroft Avenue in Nottingham – a three bedroomed semi-detached property which requires upgrading and improvement sold for £72,500.
  •     83 Welbeck Street in Creswell, Worksop – a two bedroomed mid-terrace property with uPVC double glazing and central heating which sold for £42,000.
  •     10 Three Tuns Road in Eastwood – a delightful two bedroomed cottage which requires a certain degree of improvement and sold for £77,000.
