London Property Auctioneer wins again!

Auction House London is celebrating receiving four prestigious national awards for the brand in the space of a month, as well as being the only auctioneer to sell over 3,000 lots in 2015. The Negotiator magazine declared the group ‘Residential Auction House of the Year’ and ‘Best Franchise’ with two gold awards in early November, followed by another ‘Best Franchise’ award and ‘Auction Agency of the Year’ award at the Estate Agency of the Year Awards at the beginning of December. The landmark 3,000th lot-sold figure was reached a week earlier than last year, at a time when the national auction sector is experiencing a decline. Commenting on the achievements, Auction House London Auctioneer Andrew Binstock said: “We’re delighted with the national accolades for the brand as well as our recent sales success. Our total sales are up this year from last by 37% from £94m to £129m, despite EIG reporting a fall in total auction sales. Such achievement helps to mark us out as one of the capital’s top five property auctioneers.” This year Auction House London raised £129,825,260 in sales across the year. And in its recent sale on 9 December 2015 sales totalled almost £15m (£14,769,950) with 87% of property listed being sold. Bidding was brisk with buyers and sellers wanting to exchange ahead of Christmas and one highlight being a two bedroom first floor flat in Ninehams Road, Caterham, Surrey. The property, which was in a good condition, was listed with a guide price of £155,000 and sold for £202,000.

Andrew Binstock added, “Property in a good position and at the right price will always attract buyers, but where we come in is to secure the best price which is often well above the guide price and reserve acceptable to the seller. Our results have been stunning in 2015 and we expect this trend to continue into 2016.”
