Leicestershire property agency breaks through £100m barrier

An East Midlands property agency says it has experienced a record year for the sale and acquisition of development sites – breaking the £100m barrier for the first time in its history.

Fisher German’s national planning and development team, based at the firm’s Ashby De La Zouch office, has released record results after advising on the sale and acquisition of multiple sites with a value in excess of £100m in 2017.

The sites, based across England, range from two to 160 acres and are capable of delivering more than 2,900 dwellings nationwide spanning across areas from Gloucestershire to Cheshire and Bedfordshire to Nottinghamshire.

The team says it is also continuing to advise on land capable of delivering over 27,000 dwellings as well as the promotion of more than 550,000 sq ft of retail floor space and more than 350 acres of employment land.

Fisher German associate partner Luke Brafield said: “We have been growing our team over the past five years and are very pleased to see our figures reflect this.

“It is incredible to break the £100m barrier, and this is testament to the expertise of the team that we currently have in place operating on a national basis with local coverage.

“We have advised and gained planning permission on some very complex sites, many of which have been sold to high-profile national housebuilders.

“Looking ahead to 2018 we have a lot of projects that we are currently working on at the moment and are planning for another successful year.”
