Neighbouring houses in Great Barr for auction with Bond Wolfe

A pair of houses, side by side in Great Barr, are both coming up for auction in December with bargain basement guide prices.

They are part of Bond Wolfe’s 164 lot auction catalogue which will be the largest auction to be held in the Midlands in 2019.

It’s not quite “buy one, get one free” but the pair of neighbouring three-bedroom semi-detached houses in Ennerdale Road will each have a guide price of just £20,000 when they come under the hammer at the Bond Wolf Auctions sale at Villa Park in Birmingham on Wednesday 11th December.

The house at 4 Ennerdale Road stands behind a front garden, and its ground floor comprises a hall, two reception rooms, a kitchen, rear lobby and downstairs WC. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a bathroom, also with a WC. There are gardens to the rear and the houses benefits from a gas-fired central heating system and UPVC double glazing.

Next door, at 2 Ennerdale Road, the house has a similar layout upstairs, but on the ground floor it comprises a hall reception room and a dining kitchen, with a rear lobby and WC. It also offers a driveway at the front of the property. It also has gas-fired central heating and UPVC double glazing.

Both properties are vacant and in need of some decorating and modernisation work.

Ian Tudor, managing director of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “It is highly unusual to be offering two neighbouring homes, but it provides an almost unique opportunity to someone wishing to invest in property for rent. At the same time, the opportunity is also there for first-time buyers looking for an affordable property they can turn into a home.

“Whether they end up being sold to the same buyer or not, both these properties offer incredible value for money and we expect a lot of interest on the day – with some fairly competitive bidding as a result.”

Bond Wolfe Auctions, which launched in January this year, has so far sold 503 lots out of 592 offered and raised over £66.2 million with an average success rate of 85% – comfortably making it the West Midlands’ leading auctioneer.
