Bond Wolfe Auctions appointed official auctioneer to Walsall Council

Bond Wolfe Auctions has won a competitive tender to be appointed as official auctioneer for Walsall Council.

The business, which is only just into its second year, has already been appointed by Birmingham City Council and is also offering lots surplus to requirements for West Midlands Police.

Chief executive Gurpreet Bassi said: “The good news continues, as we have also recently been shortlisted for five awards at TheBusinessDesk.com Masters Awards and The Signature Awards 2020.

“We are keeping our fingers crossed but we are obviously delighted at the recognition for such a young business.”

Mr Bassi has already won the “Young Leader” trophy at TheBusinessDesk’s West Midlands Leadership Awards in November 2019.

Bond Wolfe Auctions launches its 2020 sales at its usual venue, The Holte Suite at Aston Villa FC, on Thursday 27 February from 10.00am.

Managing director Ian Tudor said: “We are already experiencing keen interest in our first auction and look forward to another 160 plus lots going under the hammer on the day.”

He added that as well as a huge range of residential properties in all parts of the country, there was also a growing commercial element to the next catalogue.

The auction will include a prime city centre retail investment in Coventry.

82/92 Lower Precinct, Coventry, is being offered with a guide price of £999,000+. The property, a prime three storey retail unit of 20,565 sq ft, is let to the British Heart Foundation at an annual rent of £160,000 per annum.

And if you fancy a weekend away in your own hotel, also on sale will be The Stanley Hotel, a recently refurbished 11 bedroom town centre hotel in Blackpool. With a guide price of £115,000+ The Stanley Hotel is handily placed for all the bright lights and entertainment in one of the UK’s most popular seaside resorts.

Ian Tudor added: “There will certainly be some variety of properties on offer, and we will be offering many more attractive lots on the day, with details to be confirmed nearer our closing date for entries and the deadline for our catalogue on Monday 3rd February.”

Since launching in January 2019, Bond Wolfe Auctions has sold an impressive 654 lots out of 751 lots offered in six auctions, an average success rate of 87% that has raised more than £81.4 million in sales.

This included an impressive 95% success rate in the most recent auction on 11th December when 151 lots were sold from the 159 offered – the highest sales rate for a Midlands auction for 15 years.
