The Mill is believed to be one of the older mills before being heightened, possibly in 1814 (a date found in carvings in the brickwork inside). Internally the mill has four storeys plus top level inside the boat cap roof with a door opening to a balcony.We have been advised that the mill was converted into a weekend retreat in 1958, but in 'a spartan manner' and in 1978 the mill was struck by lightening and the sails subsequently removed. The Seller has advised that some parts of the mill, including wood for the sails, are stored, however, interested parties must rely on their own enquiries
