Double Success for Auction House at property industry ‘Oscars’

National property auctioneer Auction House is celebrating after receiving two trophies at the 2016 Negotiator Awards – widely regarded as the property industry’s equivalent of the Oscars - during a glittering ceremony at the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane.

The UK’s number one property auctioneer picked up Gold for Best Franchise for the second year running, as well as Bronze for Best Residential Auctioneer – the fourth year in succession that the group has appeared in the top three places in both categories.

Auction House Founding Director Roger Lake said: “To scoop two trophies at The Negotiator Awards once again is an incredible achievement. Every business should seek to be measured by its peers, and this is one of the reasons why we enter the brand into the event each year. Our greatest pleasure comes from reflecting on consistently being regarded as worthy winners and top performers.”

News of the awards came as Auction House announced its sales figures for October. The group sold 337 out of 476 lots offered – a success rate of 71%, and raising a monthly figure of £38.3m. This means that in the first 10 months of this year, Auction House has sold a total of 2,752 lots - higher than any other property auctioneer in the UK.

Commenting on the figures, Roger Lake said: “Taken along with our successes in The Negotiator Awards, it’s been another very impressive month for the group. I want to thank all of our franchisees for the enthusiastic contributions they make, day in, day out, that collectively have turned us into the leading player and the most successful, award-winning auction business of the decade.”

The Auction House Group has also been shortlisted in the Estate Agency of the Year Awards which take place in early December, in both the Best Franchise category and the Best Auction Agency category.
