Auction opportunity to bring Wolverhampton homes back in to use

Leading property auction network SDL Auctions Bigwood is helping to clear the air in Wolverhampton.

It has been instructed by the trustee in bankruptcy to auction two properties in Wolverhampton that have formerly been involved in the local drug trade. One contained a cannabis farm and the other was used for the supply of drugs.

Gurpreet Bassi, head of residential auctions at SDL Auctions Bigwood in Birmingham, said: “We are conscious that both of these properties have been the focus of significant disruption in the neighbourhood and so we are working to bring them back into lawful and respectable use as residential properties.”

To that end, SDL Auctions Bigwood has arranged for the two properties to be cleared out in readiness for their sale in the next Birmingham auction at Aston Villa FC on Thursday 14 December.

Mr Bassi added: “Both properties need refurbishing throughout, but they represent a great opportunity for buyers to bring them back into market as housing for sale or rental stock.”

The first property at 27 Morrison Avenue, Low Hill, Wolverhampton is a substantial freehold semi-detached house that has been extended. It has four bedrooms, a side garage and gardens and comes with a *guide price of £40,000-£45,000.

The second house is a freehold mid-terraced property at 54 Neachells Lane, Wolverhampton which has three bedrooms and a guide price of £24,000-£29,000.

Gurpreet Bassi said: “Both properties offer a tremendous opportunity either as a home to live in, or a rental investment property. It will be pleasing to see them brought back into the market as living accommodation suitable as a family home.”

The SDL Auctions Bigwood auction takes place Villa Park, Birmingham on Thursday 14 December.
