£2.4m raised at first 2017 Nottingham auction

SDL Graham Penny, part of one of the UK’s largest auction networks – SDL Auctions, has hit the ground running in 2017 with a highly successful first Nottingham auction raising over £2m.

The auction, on Thursday 2nd February at Nottingham Racecourse, saw 35 residential property, commercial property, land and others offered under the hammer with 86 per cent selling and raising £2.4m for vendor clients.

Andrew Parker, auctioneer and managing director, commented: “We had a great auction in Nottingham this month. The auction room was the busiest we’ve seen it for several months leading to some excited bidding in the room and some excellent sale prices.”

Amongst the lots selling well in the auction room were:

    4 Castle Gardens in Lenton – a first floor studio flat which had a *guide price of £40,000+ and sold for £53,500.     85 Frinton Road in Nottingham – a three bedroomed terraced property which sold for £73,500 from a guide price of £55,000+.     Site at 3 Hankin Street in Hucknall – a fenced site suitable for storage and parking sold for £11,500 from a guide price of £7,500+.
